If you need a heavy-duty monochrome workhorse printer for a small office or workgroup, the Samsung ML-3561N ($700 street) stands ready to fill your needs. Built around a 35-page-per-minute engine with a default 600-sheet capacity, the ML-3561N can quickly crank out pages by the dozen with reasonably high quality for text and graphics. And if you need heftier paper-handling ability, you can add that, too. But despite these advantages, you can get more printer for less money elsewhere.

Bottom Line

Pros

Fast performance. Good graphics. Default 600-sheet capacity with 1,100-sheet maximum.

Cons

Duplexing costs extra. Text quality is a notch below that of most monochrome lasers.
