HP continues to produce two different lines of desktop PCs with the Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (MCE 2005) operating system: the minitower HP Media Center PC and the horizontal A/V-style HP Digital Entertainment Center. Though both kinds share similar components and features, the horizontal models fit better in the home-theater component rack, and the minitower is better suited as a Media Center PC for your desk at home. The HP Media Center PC 7070n Photosmart ($1,249 direct, without monitor) is the latter kind, and great for anyone who wants more experience with photo, music, and video multimedia.

Cons

Internal drive expansion limited. No monitor or speakers at this price point. Wired keyboard.
