Epson is known for one thing above all: printers. If the company can maintain the standards set by its Epson L-500V, digital cameras will be another feather in its cap. This 5-megapixel entry-level compact camera captures very good-looking images, and its large screen really lends itself to showing off your pictures.

Bottom Line

This sleek little beauty performs very well, shooting accurate, detailed pictures. Its 2.5-inch LCD is gorgeous—in the right lighting—but the camera lacks an optical viewfinder.

Pros

Attractive, compact, and sturdy. Large LCD. Very good pictures. Decent video.

Cons

No optical viewfinder. Limited manual controls. LCD is hard to read in bright sunlight.
