With its AMD Sempron 3000+ processor and decent feature set, the WinBook PowerSpec 8436 makes an attractive package that should keep the basic user satisfied for a couple of years. Should your day-to-day computer use evolve into more complex tasks, however, you may need to upgrade this system.

The PowerSpec 8436 is a decent computer system that will serve its user for a couple of years, but sooner or later, you may need to upgrade it, unless your tasks aren't too demanding.
Dual-layer DVD-writable drive. AGP 8X slot for graphics expansion. Supports SATA RAID. Media card reader. Price includes wireless Microsoft multimedia keyboard and optical mouse. No case fans make for a quiet PC.
Minimal software. Middling performance.
