REVIEW
The Altec Lansing inMotion iMmini offers some nice features, but it distorts so easily at anything more than soft volume that we can recommend it only if small size and low weight are your priorities. At first glance, this one-piece iPod-mini speaker system looks like a smaller version of the pricier Altec Lansing iM3. Both contain a pair of petite two-driver speakers, a high-efficiency 2-watts-per-channel Class D amplifier, and a flip-out docking station that matches all the data-transfer, synchronization, and charging functions provided by Apple's iPod-mini dock. Both can run on either AC or battery power, and each has battery-saving Sleep and Auto-Shutdown functions and a handy external audio input. The iMmini lacks the iM3's handheld remote and carrying case.
