REVIEW
Voodoo Computers certainly makes a fast, pretty computer. The newest iteration of the RAGE f:5 ($5,900 as tested) has the same water-cooled setup as the system we reviewed last November, but that machine had an Intel Xeon chipset and motherboard, so it was essentially a workstation masquerading as a gaming desktop. The new RAGE f:5 is a true single-CPU dual-graphics gaming box based on the nForce 4 chipset and GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics cards. The new AMD Athlon 64 version of the RAGE f:5 also costs over $1,000 less than the Xeon version. The water cooling certainly makes the RAGE f:5 the quietest in this roundup, though there are still several cooling fans in the system. The elimination of fans for the CPU and GPU means that those components make no noise whatsoever.
