The MX5020 delivers everything you could reasonably expect from a moderately priced two-piece speaker system. It doesn't produce tooth-loosening volume levels or heavy-bottom bass, but does deliver realistic, uncolored sound and a snappy low-end at a low price.

Bottom Line

The MX5020 is a terrific PC speaker set for the money. This inexpensive two-piece system doesn't get too loud and has little deep bass output, but what's there sounds great. Few models in its price range can match its tight, clean bass, natural-sounding midrange, and complete lack of high-end harshness.

Pros

Pleasant, natural-sounding output. Excellent upper bass. Reasonable price.

Cons

Limited volume levels. No mid- or deep low end.
