After nearly nine months in a fast-moving market, the Creative Zen Micro is holding up very well—and looking mahvelous in its nine different colors. When we first reviewed the Zen Micro, we were impressed with its audio performance and pleased with its ease of use, drag-and-drop file management, and nonproprietary USB cable. And the FM radio and voice recording is icing on an already-tasty cake. Thus it shares an Editors' Choice with the Apple iPod mini in the small hard drive category.

Touch-sensitive controls take some getting used to. Weak FM reception. Noticeable distortion under some conditions.
