Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock

Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock

REVIEW

Part photo printer, part camera dock, and designed to look like a high-tech consumer electronics toy in black and silver, the Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock can produce good-looking output at reasonable speeds. It's also highly portable, at 3.3 by 7.4 by 5.25 inches (HWD, not counting the removable paper tray), and weighs just under 2.5 pounds. But it is relatively expensive to run, and makes the most sense if you pair it with a compatible Kodak EasyShare camera.

Bottom Line

The Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock is obviously of most interest if you have a compatible Kodak camera. But it can serve as a dedicated photo printer with other cameras, printing from your computer, PictBridge camera, or even memory cards (if you add the optional external card reader). Output quality is top-notch, but at 62 cents per print, it's no bargain.

Pros

Good choice for Kodak EasyShare camera owners, as it acts as a charging cradle, PC dock, and photo printer. Also prints from PictBridge cameras, PCs, and memory cards (with an optional reader).

Cons

Costs 62 cents per print. Limited to 4- by 6-inch output. No built-in card slots.
