Company:
Acer America Corp., www.acer.com/us
Street price:
$1,900
Spec Data:
Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2500, 512MB of DDR SDRAM, 60GB hard drive, DVD RW drive, 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 graphics, 15-inch SXGA LCD, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11g wireless, Bluetooth, Microsoft Windows XP Home

Pros:
Flashy and sporty, multiformat DVD burner, 15-inch SXGA LCD, excellent connectivity options, 4-in-1 memory card slot
Cons:
Too-heavy charger, so-so battery life, feeble software bundle
Bottom Line:
This is a fine notebook for those who want to turn heads in a wireless environment, but the strong multimedia hardware needs commensurate multimedia performance and software. And the hefty charger combined with short battery life limit this Ferrari to short road trips.

Review
