Spotify today expanded its music service to Australia and New Zealand.
Music lovers in both countries will now be able to access Spotify’s desktop app for free. They can also opt for ad-free listening with an Unlimited subscription or upgrade to Premium for mobile access, too.
In New Zealand, Spotify Unlimited will set you back $7.49 per month, while Spotify Premium will cost $12.99. In Australia, the same options will be $6.99 and $11.99 per month, respectively.
“We’re unbelievably excited to be here,” Spotify co-founder and CEO Daniel Ek said about the new territories. “Spotify offers everything you could possibly want from a music service: it’s free, it’s fast, it’s easy to share and with more than 16 million songs we have one of the biggest on-demand music libraries in the world.”
