Logitech Unveils New Mobile Speakers, Headphones
Logitech UE is the company’s new line of headphones and speakers, many of which are wireless, Bluetooth devices.
Logitech has announced a new line of audio products, refreshing its mobile audio device selection. Logitech UE is the company’s new series of headphones and speakers, many of which are wireless, Bluetooth-equipped devices.
The Logitech UE Boombox and UE Mobile Boombox are Bluetooth speakers that replace the company’s Wireless Boombox and Mini Boombox , both of which we reviewed last year. The two new devices are more colorful and evoke a sense of a wireless speaker more than the Boombox and Mini Boombox’s respective black dog bone and clock radio styles. The UE Boombox is white and blue and has a large carry handle on the top, and the UE Mobile Boombox is available in multiple color combinations.
The larger UE Boombox features eight drivers and a stated battery life of six hours, and the smaller UE Mobile Boombox has two drivers, can serve as a speakerphone, and can last up to eight hours according to Logitech. They will retail for $249.99 and $99.99 respectively.
The Logitech UE Smart Radio is a standalone Internet radio device that can tune into multiple online services through its built-in Wi-Fi and display station and track information on its 2.4-inch color LCD screen. It features a battery with a stated life of six hours, and Android and iOS apps let you control it through your smartphone or tablet. It will retail for $179.99.
Besides speakers and an Internet radio, Logitech has also announced four new Logitech UE headphones, one of which is Bluetooth. The Logitech UE 9000 Noise-Cancelling Headphones are a $399.99 pair of Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation, 40mm drivers, and a 10-hour battery. At the same price, the Logitech UE 900 Noise-Isolating Earphones are ear buds that feature four-armature speakers, interchangeable cables, and can block out 26 dB of sound according to the company. These $400 headphones are targeted towards high-end enthusiasts, and sit just below Logitech’s professional audio equipment in its lineup.
The Logitech UE 6000 and UE 4000 headphones are wired and will retail for $199.99 and $99.99. They both feature 40mm drivers and removeable cables, and the UE 6000 uses active noise cancelling. All Logitech UE products will ship this September.
