Pros: Low price, great variety of games, durable, easy to hook up, and portable.
Cons: Production may end in 2010.

Buying a playstation 2 at this stage (late 2008)

Pros: Huge game catalog. Many hits available for low prices. The PS2 cheap now.
Cons: The controls are sluggish. Very limited saves. Lots of camera and crosshair fiddling.
The Bottom Line: It's cheap enough that you can't go wrong. It does have some games that just aren't available on computer and there are some games are quite good.
