Can't beat the 509 for features and price

Pros: Great receiver for the price, super remote with learning capability
Cons: TV & Sat remote functions need to be separated
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a good Dolby Digital receiver and don't want to break the bank, you can't pass on the 509.

Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: insufficient number of video inputs, no phono inputs, not enough power
The Bottom Line: I'd only suggest this for the most casual user with only the very basic audio requirements.
