All around, a decent Dolby Digital Receiver

Pros: A good, simple Dolby Digital receiver.
Cons: The second remote for this receiver is horribly inept!
The Bottom Line: Pioneer makes outstanding products, and the VSX-D557 receiver is proof that you can't go wrong with a Pioneer receiver.
