Nakamichi=BMW

Pros: Good looks,matches the interior of my BMW,specially with amber color.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: If your car deserve a Nakamichi go get one,but if you like screen savers and flashy lights like a Christmas tree in your dash look at the rest,save for McIntosh.

Substance over Flash

Pros: Great styling, volume knob, nice tone controls, fantastic sound
Cons: weak tuner, no changer control, clunky faceplate
The Bottom Line: Heartily recommended to everyone who wants quality sound and elegant design, no glitz and flash here, just great sound!

Looks, Sounds Good

Pros: Excellent sound, understated appearance
Cons: a little flaky with CD-Rs, fair FM tuner performance
The Bottom Line: Overall, I'm very pleased with the CD-40z. Not sure I would have gone for it at $349... but under $200 it's a great value.

Well worth the extra $100

Pros: Great sound, easy to use, plenty of power, remote and aux input, great value, simple.
Cons: No multi-bit D/A (45Z has that for another $100), only simple 3-band equalization/boost, could use a quick low-volume function that isn't just mute.
