Good player/recorder...till it broke
Pros: Inexpensive. Small. Nice remote.
Cons: Mine broke after 2 years. Batteries wear out too easily. Remote glitches.
The Bottom Line: While the 702 lasted, it served me well. But it only has a 90 day service warranty and a one year parts warranty so when it broke, I was screwed.

Great Unit if You're Lucky--and I was!
Pros: Great sound, slot-in loading, pretty easy to use
Cons: Rather large and heavy, risk of UTOC error if you're unlucky with it
The Bottom Line: UPDATE: Still going strong as of July 2004! Be careful--some 702s last a couple months, others last for years.

WORST MD OUT THERE
Pros: Good Sound
Cons: BIG, Bad battery life, MALFUNCTIONS, falls apart at the seams
The Bottom Line: Malfunctions, Screws that hold it together come out, Big and bulky. Much better, NEWER SMALLER ones available out there.
