Apple Mac Mini Refreshed and Now Perfect as a HTPC (home theatre PC)

Pros: Silent operation and it can do a lot more than the Apple TV.
Cons: Price and it's a bit hard to upgrade given its form factor.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking to build a HTPC, choose this over the Apple TV. You can do a lot more with this and you won't regret the purchase.
