Whatever You Do - Don't Buy!

Pros: 10 mega pixels and nothing else.
Cons: No night vision, no night framing, and no video capturing features.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy DCS-R1. Buy a used F828 instead. Or wait till Sony come out with F909 or F929 or something similar.

Pros: Professional grade camera super white balance Excellent low light great lens great battery life
Cons: heavier then F717 Usb Linkage problem (reset fixed) no mpg movie mode
The Bottom Line: Great camera to move up to from other digitals but you will have to read the book to get the most out of it. Many advanced features plus easy modes.

Cons: A little pricy..
The Bottom Line: Excellent photos in auto mode.. it may take a short while for novice users to use the camera in manual mode. Overall, an EXCELLENT camera.
