You get what you pay for.
Pros: Very slim, one of the lowest priced upconversion DVD players, HDMI and optical output.
Cons: Distracting blue light, no backlighting on remote, DVD pauses when upconverting.
The Bottom Line: The pausing problem may be a problem for some but overall it is a good player for the price. Has all the features of much more expensive players.

Pros: Compact design, HDMI, cheap
Cons: glaring blue light across tray, non-illuminating remote
