Great Recorder, But Broke After 1-1/2 years

Pros: RAM disks, watch while you record.
Cons: Takes long time to read disks. The player broke after 1-1/2 years with moderate use.

Pros: Seemed great at first. Excellent recording and editing facilities.
Cons: Reliability of a chocolate teapot Lousy customer service Did I mention the crappy reliability?
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this (in fact any Panasonic DVD recorder). It will let you down. Best off buying something more reliable with better customer service.
