Not so "mini" after all...a review after 3 years using the iPod mini

Pros: Durable, battery holds up well, feels solid
Cons: Sleep mode is no substitute for shutting off
The Bottom Line: At this point, the only reason I'd buy the iPod mini is because it is older and cheaper than a newer iPod. But that may be reason enough for many.
