junk TV!

Pros: high def looked good when it worked.
Cons: deflection board and flyback transformer go bad after 2 to 3 years. junk TV.

Pros: had good picture when it worked
Cons: won't work very long. Seems to be timed with the year warranty
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend in any form. Will be lucky if it lasts a year. Not worth the money.

Get an Extended Warranty!

Pros: cost effective, good picture quality, TONS of A/V inputs and outputs
Cons: Lighting at certain angles was troublesome at times, costly to repair without warranty
The Bottom Line: Great television set, but if/when it fails, dont bother repairing unless you are willing to spend several hundred (i.e., at least $500) on it.

Budget now for the extended warranty

Pros: Nice, big TV.
Cons: Reliability issues.
The Bottom Line: If you spend $1500 on a TV, budget for the extended warranty. Also, in hindsight, call the BBB and check the manufacturers dispute resolution rating.
