Great Sound - Very BAD Battery Life
Pros: Great sound reproduction
Cons: No way near the storage space advertised. Very bad battery life. Difficult controls.
The Bottom Line: If you don't need more than 150MB of storage and not more than 3 hours of battery life, the DMP-310 is for you. Otherwise, avoid this product.

In most respects a real disappointment
Pros: Inexpensive for a 256MB player
Cons: Truly lousy customer support: uninformed, unhelpful. Falsely advertised Audible.com file support. Cheaply built. Unusable buttons.
The Bottom Line: Though advertised, it lacks Audible file support. The product is cheaply built and has the worst buttons and user-interface I've seen on an MP3 player. Shame on you Gateway!

Acceptable but not great
Pros: Decent recording quality. Convenient to carry. Easy to download from, and upload to device.
Cons: Controls are hard to use, especially when in case. Uploaded files stored in randomized order.
The Bottom Line: It would be perfect for my student purposes if the controls were easy to use - but they aren't. For now, it's worth putting up with.
