Pros: Quality, aesthetics, sound, remote, cube size, 6-disc changer, instructions, user-friendliness, DRC, 1ch5
Cons: Expense, perhaps...this is premium product for a premium price: it's the American way.
The Bottom Line: Search the web & grab a great deal on a Lifestyle 50 system. You won't be disappointed.

Why you should not buy a Bose lifestyle 50

Pros: Svelte design, looks cool. Multi-room sound control (with extra purchases)
Cons: Piece of trash never functioned properly since it was purchased new.
The Bottom Line: I would strongly suggest whomever is considering this product to ask yourself if you want to be Bose's QA department.

SOLID BOSE PRODUCT

Pros: Remote Control, Bass, Elegance
Cons: Surround speakers do not work for CD's
The Bottom Line: I love this system. It's expensive but I have no regrets. My remote control attracts tons of praises. Sound above average. Looks good. I would/will buy from Bose again.

Pros: 4-Inch tall jewel cube speakers, touchscreen remote control, 4-room expandability, Videostage 5.
Cons: Price, amplifier, no DTS (or any notion of Dolby decoding at all).
