Pros: Lots of bang for the buck, another all-in-one winner
Cons: typical Sony mid-range timidness, inexplicably no CDR / RW
The Bottom Line: Give it 3.5 stars... 4 just because the price is down so low. Dollar for dollar this is a solid system with an unbeatable price. Another Sony Winner.

Solid Good Reliable Sony

Pros: Budget-priced, complete package, good sound for movies and music
Cons: Low-quality wiring in the box, won't rock the house
The Bottom Line: This is the home theater system to get in the $500 to $800 price range, especially if you like Sony products. And unlike most Sony products, it's priced well.

Pros: Great starter system, surprising sound,not pricey.
Cons: DVD player doesn't play most CD-RWs. Not exactly a space-saver.
The Bottom Line: If you are on a budget but would like to enjoy watching movies as if you're in a theatre, this system delivers the goods.
