Pros: A single DIN CD/cassette is an original concept.
Cons: Insufficient CD-R/W compatibility. Lousy warranty. Poor Sanyo support.
The Bottom Line: Buy this receiver if you are practical and possess CDs and tapes. DO NOT if you feel like waiting for a better or competitive unit.

Pros: Very bright display at night. Good quality of sound. Single din with CD/Cassette.
Cons: Buttons don't work all of the time. Cables are very bulky behind the unit.
The Bottom Line: It's really cool unit with lot's of features, but that doesn't make up for not being durable or user friendly.

poor quality manufacturing of Sanyo EXCD1000 Car Stereo

Pros: Easy to use, big buttons, reasonable sound, good tape player
Cons: CD player unusable in under 2 months, Sanyo did not honor the warranty
The Bottom Line: Although outwardly attractive, the actual quality was poor. Sanyo avoided honoring the warranty, so choosing this product is a big gamble. If your unit is defective, tough luck.

Good unit but with definite caveats

Pros: CD+cassette in a single height enclosure, good sound, good features
Cons: Display invisible during day, controls unintuitive, delay in switching tracks, CD-R support intermittent
The Bottom Line: Overall a good unit, but be aware of the caveats. Tradeoffs between single height, good audio quality, and poor controls.
