Lightweight and solid yes, but not very user friendly
Pros: Great battery life, outstanding durability and excellent resistance to water and shock
Cons: The finger-controlled "joystick" is cumbersome and difficult to use.
The Bottom Line: The SONY player is difficult to adjust during activities. If this is something you want to do, do not purchase the Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-S1.

Cons: OpenMG software, copyright restrictions on music downloads, on-par earphones, no remote.
