Excellent camera

Pros: Excellent autofocus, E-TTL flash metering, great flexibility
Cons: Eye-controlled focus is useless
The Bottom Line: Excellent camera for the serious amateur, but save yourself a buck and buy the EOS Elan 7 rather than the 7E.

Pros: THe only camera you might need from very beginners to semi-pro use
Cons: Craptacular 28-90mm lens typically bundled. 3rd party lenses not reccommended
The Bottom Line: Unless you have serious professional level demands (and in that case you aren't reading this) This camera is great for very beginners all the way up.

Nice, but did not meet expectations

Pros: Nice Feel. Easy to understand functions and buttons.
Cons: Auto focus performs poorly in low light.
The Bottom Line: I think I talked myself into the Canon before I completed my research. Low light AF hunting is a disappointment.
