Toxic bulb when it brakes (and it does frequently)

Pros: Good picture, great resolution.
Cons: Gray blacks, limited bulb life (with mercury inside), thermal fuse problems in ballast, no HDMI.
The Bottom Line: Has too many limitations. Obsolete now with no HDMI.

Buyer beware ... don't buy this!

Pros: very nice picture, light-weight, comparable to others in size and picture quality
Cons: I've dumped $1000 in maint. and repairs after paying $3000 for the tv; unacceptable.
The Bottom Line: I paid $3000 for the set, and after 4.5 years I have sunk $1000 into it for maintenance and repairs ... unacceptable

I've had the PT-45LC12 for less than 5 years and I'm on my 3rd lamp ($300 each). I get about 1500-20 ...

Expensive to maintain, AVOID THIS TV !!
