Pros: Size of screen, AUDIO QUALITY, split screen, P-in-P, lots of connections for auxilliary components.
Cons: Absolutely NONE!! Just be careful of imprinting, as with any projection TV.
The Bottom Line: If 53" is the right size for your room (they say, view it from 3-5 times its diagonal size) Buy it for the next 4-5 years until plasmas are reasonable.

Pros: Cheap, Multiple inputs in back, large screen, attractive design
Cons: Lack of screen protector, compatability issues, calibration problems out of the box
The Bottom Line: If cost is a factor and you want the big screen experience without the big name price, go for it!
