Could've been better but,... still very cool !

Pros: Look, File/Song/Menu Navigation, Skip Protection, & amount of information on one screen
Cons: PRICE!!! constrained features that would otherwise be awesome.
The Bottom Line: The radio has a bunch of constrained features. Things could be better. Still, it looks outstanding, sounds just as good, & is easy to use.

Overall, I'm happy with the Sony MEX-1HD. My main reasons for getting it were the look, the file nav ...

Pros: No need for a cd-disk changer. Load your entire cd/mp3 collection to the internal hard-drive.
Cons: Poor customer service. USB-port is practically useless. Memory-stick and remote sold separately. Cheap black-n-white display
The Bottom Line: Overpriced. Needs a few obvious improvements. Still, at the moment i contend that the mex-1hd is arguably the best hard-drive head-unit available. Good system. Just a victim of bad marketing.

This is an am\fm\cd\mp3\memory stick player which has the ability to rip a cd directly to the built ...

Cons: Remote and Memory Stick not included.
The Bottom Line: Transferring audio files with text to the unit was performed by creating a CD-RW on my PC then ripping to unit. Interface was easy to learn and use.

The recent introduction of car audio hard drives is welcome. I own a Sony Vaio PC and have my entire ...

Pros: Beautiful unit that sounds just as good.
Cons: Among all...very large price, one-off unit, poor support, etc.....
The Bottom Line: No.......get another Sony model or different brand alltogether. Whatever the price, it's hardly worth it....

While I was initially impressed with what the unit was "supposed" to do, it hardly comes close to be ...
