Pros: Extremely cheap today, fast with OS 8 or 9, can do most computing tasks
Cons: NO OSX, 800X600 resolution poor for some websites, too old for DVD movies
The Bottom Line: If you can live without OSX, a 3400c is an extremely nice laptop at an unbeatable price.

PowerBook 3400c: Aging like fine wine...

Pros: Very stable, good features and capable of adding more, surprisingly fast for the money.
Cons: You can't upgrade to G3, and it needs modification for USB connectivity.
The Bottom Line: If you need a low-cost laptop that gets the job done and doesn't do Windows, grab one of these.

PowerBook 3400c -- a great used notebook buy!

Pros: Inexpensive older unit will easily run word processing, e-mail/internet, and many current games
Cons: slower bus limits upgrade options, may not run OS X well if at all
The Bottom Line: This older PowerBooks holds its value. Upgradeable to a certain extent and still very capable of running many relatively current applications.
