Samsung's Great Little SCD 77 DV

Pros: Incredible color reproduction, good in low light with 1 lux rating,full manual controls.
Cons: Slightly grainy in room light, cannot transfer stills from video directly to memory card.
The Bottom Line: Great because of video quality at this or even above this price point. The color looks more like that on 3 head units.

Solid camera for a lowest price

Pros: Good quality outdoors, 680k chip, nice digital effects, firewire DV port
Cons: poor battery life, low light picture has snow
The Bottom Line: Lowest priced DV camcorder on the market when comparing to the models with similar features. Nice blend of quality and reliability.
