Amazon Kindle Touch 3G Wi-Fi 6-inch e-Reader

Amazon today introduced the 6-inch Kindle Touch 3G, their the new top of the line touchscreen E Ink e-reader with Wi-Fi plus free 3G and no monthly fees or annual contracts for $149. With its free 3G connection you never have to hunt for or pay for a Wi-Fi hotspot — you simply download and read books anytime, anywhere in over 100 countries around the world. Amazon pays for the 3G connection so there’s no monthly fee or annual contract.

The Kindle Touch 3G sports an 11% smaller body, with the same 6-inch screen size, and is 8% lighter, only 7.8 ounces. It holds 3,000 e-books (3GB of usable storage), includes free Amazon Cloud storage, and is ready to use right out of the box. The E Ink multi-touch display is optimized with proprietary waveform and font technology, 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi, 16-level grayscale.

Kindle Touch 3G offers the same new design and features of Kindle Touch — small and light, easy-to-use touch screen, storage for thousands of books, and extra-long battery life — with the unparalleled added convenience of free 3G.
