Sorry. Those don't work. This is out of a Mercedes but I don't know the VIN. I just want to swap out the front board with display from this radio to my old radio which I have the code for. As long as the code is stored on the main PCB then I am OK. But if the code is stored on the front board with LCD and buttons then I need the new code.

Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks

Well, I was missing a key bit of information, that you have to press "seek" when you are done entering the code... I have had the car 10 years and I have only entered the code about twice so I forgot that part. I will never know if the codes you provided were correct. I ended up moving the LCD itself to the front board of my radio. I also won't ever know if the code is stored in the front board or the main board. Oh well.

The Alpine CM5903 uses old technology (requiring further technical advice ) and cannot be decoded using the Serial Number (so 34252 will not work)

You could try emailing

restoredclassic@aol.com

to see if they can help

The email address above is not mine

restoredclassic@aol.com is someone I have used who is a helpful Decoder offering free technical advice and has various contacts for codes that you cannot get on these Decoding Forums for free

He is a very useful person to know , especially for these old BMW Alpines (also VW,Audi,Skoda ,Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge and Ford V codes)
