Converting question.

I know that this is probably a stupid question, and probably won't work, but anything is worth a try. Is there anyway to convert a PS2 into a computer monitor. And/or is it possible to take parts from a PS2 and put them into my laptop, making it into a customized gaming computer? Like I said, I doubt either of these will work, I'm just wondering.
