I have been trying for quite a while to figure out how to hook up my PS2 to my TV.
I have a Sanyo TV which has a Sanyo VHS/DVD player and through the DVD/VHS Player I am hooked to to a digital cable receiver (Bright House if that makes a different).
I have tried hooking it up every way I can figure out. I hooked it to the TV through the TV directly and nothing, even when I unplugged the connection to the Player/Cable. I tried hooking it through the bad of the Player where the book said and nothing. I even tried hooking it up through the front of the cable box thingie. Again, nothing!
Can anyone help me out here? I am about to pull my hair out in frustration!
When you hook up the PS2 by using the front of the TV, go to the setup menu of the TV. From there you can select different sources. Flip thorugh the video sources until your PS 2 shows up.
If your TV remote has a TV/Video button, try pressing that. If you try to run it through the VHS player, there should be a button on the player itself that you can push to switch it over to the input mode.
