Posted on Monday, December 29, 2008 - 12:56 GMT I think I know the answer to this. I have a Canon MV5 camcorder and recently bought a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 1718 laptop running Vista. Although quite new I find that the PC only has USB ports and no firewire. Is there any way that I can download video from my camcorder without installing an IEEE 1394 board?

Posted on Monday, December 29, 2008 - 20:00 GMT Thanks for nothing. I have obviously read the manual, all I was asking was is there any other way of connecting my camcorder by DV out to a laptop which doesn't have firewire.
