Don't EVER see this movie. Worst movie I personally have ever seen. Worst $11 I have ever spent. I'm thoroughly pissed about this movie. I want to send the creators of Cloverfield an email demanding my money back.

^^^Oh god. I actually bought the movie. The only redeeming part was the last 5 minutes. The rest was just bad acting, directing, filming, ect.....

Paul, its about a monster that takes over Manhattan and kills a bunch of people and some guy has to save some girl. Thats it.

The monster looks like a giant grasshopper than stands on two legs. It is retarded looking.

The movie does not ever tell you where the monster came from, how it got there, or why its there. It doesn't even tell you how it ends. It ends with Manhattan being blown up. You don't find out if that killed the monster or anything. Focking retarded movie.

Exactly Pit, it was bush league. It kinda tells you where it came from but never directly. Never says why it was there or how long or how it got there. And the movie just stops at the end. Screen just turns black. People were literally laughing at the end of it cause of how dumb it was.

I bought Blair Witch unseen because of the hype. (One of my faults). It was a different approach I'll say that. The whole "hold the camera in the hands deal" was just too annoying. It became hard to follow quite quick. Yes it allowed many inconsistencies to go unnoticed, but in the end drove me nuts.

For me "The sixth sense" was much better in the same genre.

SPOLIER.....Read at own risk

The Meteor Explanation
"Tagruato tracked a piece of space debris,
Possibly PART OF A SATTELITE, It fell into the atlantic before being identified.
(it's possible it could be the source of the parasite, who knows.

for the sattelite info see tagruato.jp (down at the moment)

now look on any other cloverfield site, any there is loads.
look at the production notes,

heres the important bit.

The concept for the monster (affectionately known simply as "Clover" in-house) is simple, says Abrams. "He's a baby. He's brand-new. He's confused, disoriented and irritable. And he's been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years."

Ok please people bump this I am sick of posting it several times every day."

BTW, apparently, at the end of the credits (which I did not stick around to watch), you can hear the guy say "its still alive". Cloverfield 2 here we come.....

I dont think it was horrible but it wasnt great. The first person camera view was horrible. The "monster" looked like a cricket until you see his face. haha. Anyway, I didnt think it was all that bad, then again, I didnt pay for it.

"Does it matter where you saw it?"

absolutely :-)

seeing something in a movie theater is a totally different experience than watching at home. granted being in a movie theater you get greater sense of things, and i've always been more into the movie more than i would at my house.

so, me seeing it at my house, and really liking it, should mean more, IMO

lol if the movie theater dies, it's suicide.

~$9 for a ticket!?
~$5 for some nachos!?
~$4 for a fu<kin soda!?

I'm all about sneakin in drinks and snacks, the ticket price i can sorta understand but the food prices are just bullsh!t.

See that perplexes me. Why do ppl everywhere feel that the more I pay for something the better it is? I look at that $5 bag of popcorn and I see $.25.

Yeah this movie looks so much better while drinking an $8 soda.

That's why I miss the drive-ins.
