Yeah it will be around I think it would be around 12.38am here in the UK, I'm a little muddled up with the time zone differences at the moment I think its something like 5 hours difference between Bournemouth and Florida?

Well at any rate it would be my fourth live viewing on NASA TV of a Shuttle launch two of them where daylight launches the last one a night time launch and even thou this one's in the evening it would still be daylight at around launch unless the countdown is put on hold for a few extra minutes.

Still I'm predicting an on schedule launch at 19:38hours.

I'll be glued to the NASA TV channel a few hours well before launch as they usually cover it from the breakfast to the Astrovan to the pad and the white room to the Shuttles top cabin and lower deck while being strapped in securely.

Watching a fascinating video on NASA TV about the Shuttle main engines that have power of 13 hover dams, that's a lot trust power the engines where designed for 60 launches and then will be discarded from the Shuttle.

Wow watching the crawler that thing moves so slow and it has too, if it goes too fast the Shuttle could topple over. I think it moves at around 4 or 7MPH.

Yes it's getting down close now yippee!

Prediction's of weather is around 20% that could scrub the launch. Blast these Florida thunderstorms this is suppose to be the sunny state not the frigging rainy season.

The temperature is going to warm and humid and ice can form on the EXT, but NASA is saying it's not going to be an issue when tank filling is about to commence early in the morning.

Paul

Well there's the briefing that took place today where officials of NASA are giving the press questions that need answering. Oh blast the biffing video has just finished now. No worries it will be on again in a repeat maybe early hours UK time or early evening US time. But I'd say that was the last biffing now until the tank is being prepared in the early hours of today your time or Florida's time in about 5 hours. Its 00.32hours UK time and today is Friday 8th of June 2007 Shuttle launch day!

That Shuttle and the crew are itching to get off pad 39A.

No they start filling the tanks up early in morning hours before the crew arrives at pad 39A I wonder if they can beat there record for last time, because that mission was bumped and bumped and bumped and filling and un-fuelling the tank was like watching paint dry. It's a delicate process and they have to clear the pad and let it cool down and then return back to the pad. Its dangerous stuff if it where to make contact with your skin your going to have a very bad day.

Looks like a slight minor bit of damaged has been done towards the, aft ohms pod with the blanket that covers it the unit. Looks like this might add an extra day to the mission as there scheduled for return Monday 18th June so looks like an extra day added unless it can be done in less time to prevent extra EVA delaying the mission of installing the truss.

Just listening to this guy at NASA is kinder making this sound really creepy about whether this blanket would come undone if returning under the low dynamic stress loads. But if they can tuck it down in the morning that would be great.

Its a woman who's returning Paul,(Astronaut Clayton Anderson), will spend 4 months onboard the ISS (Astronaut Sunita L. Williams), she'll be returning back home with the STS-117 Atlantis crew after breaking the longest record for a woman in space on the ISS she surpasses (Astronaut Shannon Lucid).

Oh that's better. Well when the crew settles down for some kip, I will. Looks like they have a few things more on they're plates in the morning after a nights sleep or is that a day's sleep, it's hard to tell with each orbit where you go from daylight to darkness every 90 minutes.

Yeah what do you care about bandwidth, I doubt you've ever been on the CB radio with a Snake that's had two low bands and three high bands! Now that takes up bandwidth and puts a lot of strain on the Cobra 148 GTL-DX!

And besides they're threads on this site that run will into the hundreds, now then!

Well its only a short while until the ISS makes another passing over Bournemouth at these times one tonight and another in the early hours of Tuesday.

Having a little fun with liquid in zero-G, that is a piece of thin thread and some liquid floating freely and placing the thread between the liquid as some type of experiment. The thing you can do I space that would be so hard to do done here on the earth.

Edwards Airforce base is the preferred choice of landing.
