okay here is the issue i am having with my laptop.

when i watch a vid for about 2+ minutes it shuts off.

when i am ripping a cd it shuts off.

when i am voice chatting on aim it shuts off (sometimes).

when i am trying to make a dvd it shuts off.

this is so frustrating. do i need to reinstall windows again or is it a mechanical problem like over heating?

it migth be your windows media player try reinstalling it it might help.( windows media player have the service called windows audio that if u have it disable your computer will not have any soudn at all.

then try using a spyware scanner.

your best option will be to install advance windows care and is free.

it will scan your registry for errors. and hardware bad setting, also your auto runs programd scan for sypaware and clean unsolet data.

download the basic version the pro you have to pay.

if the other thing doesnt work you will have to call your manufacturer to let them knwo whats up. also wat version of windows your running?

well as far as i see it i think the batterie is wat is wrong in your ocmputer.

watching a video takes some power and if you have like a intel pentium processor may suck some pwoer and f u c k yoru batterie up... u batterie migth be cra pping out.

while your voice chatting the headphone and mic will suck some power not too much but more than regular.

burnign a dvd actually takes some serious power.

i think yoru problem is with your batterie..

ripping a cd takes alot more power than watchign a video the cd player have to spin very fast and the computer have to convert the audio file into your desire format and sucks alot of power

Try and see if you can do all that stuff without the batt. if you can, then its your batt..if it still shuts off ..its gotta be a hardware issue with the motherboard when you peg the CPU and would need a new mobo.

skullz it just shuts off. no blue screen.

it can't be the battery cause i use the laptop plugged in all the time.

before it shuts off, the fan goes on strong then all of a sudden shuts off.

i was thinking its a heat issue. maybe i need to clean the fan cause it is really noisy.

There is a known issue with some laptops getting too hot and some wiring becoming dislodged in the warmed up state, which causes the machine to power off. You might check with the manufacturer to see if yours is affected by this. I know it affected a number of laptops in any event.
