I have a black 07 Ion 2 and I'm getting the windows tinted tomorrow hopefully, depending how much snow the storm dumps. However, I still can't decide on a % to get done. I don't want the car to be pitch black, but I also want to notice it. I also want all 5 windows done. I have my other car done black, but not sure on how black the windows need to be on a black car. I was thinking 35% on all windows. So if anyone would help a fella out, I greatly appreiate it. Also, posting pics would also help. Thanks :-)

I have 5% on my rolla and it's a wine color. Too dark for me. Not even safe at night, lol. And I imagine that a black car don't need as much tint to look black either

This was 35 on my car. Depending on the angle it looker darker. At nigh you couldnt see in. and if it was rainy it was very dark looking as well. I had 5 but it was too dark. And 35 is the lowest you can go in MA. I had to change it from 20 to 35 to pass inspection. I dont know what the stuff on my van is, but you cant see thruogh it at all, and it lets lots of light in too.

i agree with James L - 205 is good

my car is white & has 35% does a decent job but ppl outside still easily see u (& ur music equipment) so very soon im going to redo mine

dont even think 5% that waaaaaaaaaaaay too dark & u wont see sh1t in the night

so IMO - 20 is the all around best ....

yeah I was gonna say 15% if you want it dark but not too dark. I have 5 OVER 35 and it's dark as sh!t. I roll my windows down at night b/c they are too dark but during the day they are perfect. You CAN'T see in the car period

just got back from the tinter a few hours ago. He done an excellent job. I got 35% all around and couldn't be more happier with it. I wouldn't want it any darker. Cost me $150 for 5 windows. Pretty good deal imo. I"ll post pics when I can

limo tint the rear windows and 35 on the front sides.

you can also find some tint for your tail lights. later get some black rims and your car will be like a bullet. lol. seriously though. it would look badazz.

I have my windows tinted at 35% all around on a black 00 Sable, as well as tinted taillights (they look sweet). It's dark enough, but I would like to go 20% on future cars. Problem is, Nebraska (school) allows 20% rear and 35% front, but Minnesota (home) is a b!tch and only allows 50% all around. It's not cool

Ma is 35 front, anything on the back, Limo, blackout whatever. Reason being cops wanna see the driver. And ya Killa, those were side pipes. Headers to pipes. sounded real nice. I loved that downshift "blub blub blub" thing, like if doing 50 and drop it 2nd. I Miss that car......Olds 350 rocket with Turbo 350 tranny w/shift kit. B$M star shifter. Edlebrock top end. 255/60/15 rear tires. Shaved back doors, recessed bumpers. most trim removed. Rear window frenched. Hoodscope and rear wing. Trunk lock shaved. Sport mirrors. Spent a lot of time and money on that car.

car's a bit dirty now because of salt on the roads. No point of washing it until winter is over. I know its not the darkest, but I was going for a blacker look, not limo-type look. I wanted enough to notice it, but still be able to see in and out of the car. I don't have nothing to see anyways. I was thinking about the tail lights but I'll see how that goes. As for wheels, many months to think about that until winter is over.
