New member Username: CrowellPost Number: 7 Registered: Feb-10 | Hello terry. I had this issue on my old Samsung dlp. The first thing you got to inspect is the button set on your TV if it's sensitive. See if you can replicate the volume to zero problem. If successful then you'll probably need to replace it. (There are some on the web for a quick 10 Bucks). http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=samsung%20button%20set If not how ever there is a strong possibility that the software stored in the computers memory is defective, and you will need to reset the software. There are two ways to reset it, one is by going to the SERVICE menu and resetting it there, the other way is to physically open the tv from the back until you reach the analog board, your going to see a small tiny button you got to press near the processor and memories.
