My first post here.. excellent forum, super informative...here's my dilemma.
I currently own the Sony LCD KLV-30XBR900, and I've decided I need a bigger set for my bedroom. I'm looking at 42" - 46" screen size, I'm down to these two sets. I will use the tv primarily for DVD's and Xbox/PS2 gaming. I also don't have HDTV and will be using regular cable for a good while.
I have done research on both sets (and I know the Sammy just came out) and wanted your opinions on which set/technology would suit my needs best.
I also will at times be 5-6ft close to the tv, and I'm wondering if it'd be smarter to the get the Sammy HLN 43" set, but I do like getting the newest models out there which is why I'm leaning towards the HLP.
Which technology produces better blacks? Which has less "trail effect"? Does DLP have dead pixel issues?
