Magnavox problem

Black screen and static sound is all I can get. Have DirectTV and DVD player. Unplugged each one at a time and both together with same result. Used very long hours. Help please.

Unplugged and plugged TV in again and sound worked for a day or two. Sound is off again. Any suggestions to fix this problem will be appreciated!
