I hope so,that way we would have some competition(probably better deals too) between the big 3(rogers,bell,telus) and their monopoly.It would also be good if Dish and DTV came up north,again to combat rogers and bells monopoly of what we have to watch in regards to content.
For the rest of AT&T expansion plans, I doubt any american company has left over money to expand overseas. The rest of the world is laughing their hearts out at them. Specially the Chineese.
It would be more likely that Rogers or Videotron could buy them. Or could it be india's Tata.... or Korean's LG.... or Chineese' ZTE ?

Even as an American I somewhat agree. Every Country knows the USA with the push of a button could kiss their azz goodby. Most Countrys will always hate the Americans even the ones we have help no matter what they do, because that's just the way it is.
Empires do not die that fast. All the "oppressed" will laugh and then apologize indirectly. Yes, slowly the shift is towards the East, but it will not be too obvious. How many American firms have been bought out by the Japanese?
