Lamp light blinks but just changed the lamp 3 months ago. Could it be the ballast and how do you change it?

Hi Alan,

After doing some research here is what I got,

A thunderstorm can damage a television specially if there's a lightning strike near your home. The storm can cause sudden spikes in voltage and overheating damaging the electrical components, the power supply (most likely) and the ballast (If power supply is ok) may turn out to be damaged.

You can also check these sites for more info on the matter:

There is a ballast replacement guide available but for a Samsung TV, this might help you out: http://guides.fixyourdlp.com/samsung/bp47-00033a.php

Good luck Alan.
