Load bin ( over current file if not virgin reciever) 2. Plug dongle 3. U will see prompt that dongle connecting (can take up to 30 secs) 4. Click menu-installation-ipconfig 5. Setting type DHCP 6. USE DNS YES 7. Domain name 8. Server port 1920 9. PUT IN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER BE CARE THE LETTERS ARE VERY SMALL 10. Go to apply and click OK (don't exit or it wont save you must click apply) That's it watch tv NOTE if your screen turns to black and white press yellow button , then up arrow , then left ....this should turn the color back on check your guide and menu if the guide is black repeat to return to NTSF and this should return all color |

I purchased this unit for obvious reasons and then for what they said it would do out of the box. I asked why there were no instructions included in the box and no markings distinguishing it as a sonicview product? I also recommended that we all dispute the charges on our credit cards and pay pal until they support this product that right now does nothing...but suck $99 out of your pocket. I have heard that this is a clone of what NFusion does? But isn't these companies being harrassed by DN? Wouldn't it be something to have this as a setup to charge all those purchasing this unit be marked for a lawsuit? That is what they did years ago when the cards went down and companies made deals to catch the buyers by turning their sales records over to Dave! Paranoid yet? Just thinking out loud, especially since I own a iHub and a sonicview8000HD and viewsat ultra and a NFusion HD with a reg. NFusion..so i have a lot to lose if it is! You could buy someone else's converter but theirs is reasonably priced. This kind of converter usually cost more. There is, however, allowance to feed in additional software in the hub. What it will do remain a mystery. The hub must also be matched with new STB firmware to talk to it from the existing serial port. Where is it ? Also the cost remains a mystery. They will certainly charge for it. They must be really hungry for money those guys. There is a financial meltdown around the globe and I doubt they will give software for free... I do not believe it. To be followed. This is getting more and more interesting. Be careful to stay at distance from scammers. |

They sent me to hell since they do not support anything else than pure FTA. They mentioned they do not want to have anything to do with TV pirating. Beware of those who say they got confirmation from SonicView USA that they will provide IKS support. This is simply not true. |

Nobody has questioned the legality of a manufacturer providing tools for upgrading flash memory on its receivers. When serial ports started getting extinct, manufacturers have come out with usb to serial adaptors. Nothing illegal about that either. Therefore, when a manufacturer of STB provides a way of upgrading its own flash via Ethernet port of the computer or router, directly, there cannot be any illegality attributable to that provision. I have a Linksys PAP2 ATA for my internet telephony, and I have upgraded the flash memory twice on it, via Internet. Just as a FTA receiver is designed for receiving FTA sat signals, so is the Ethernet to serial adaptor designed to upgrade software on the Flash memory housed inside the receiver. |

From reputed manufacturers like Digi, B&B Electronics, Advantech and Lantronix to name just a few. Nobody can be accused of anything. Connecting a serial to ethernet adapter on any equipment is none of BEV or DN business. Those are not connected to their equipment. |
