I have a toshiba hdtv, a rogers explorer 1840 digital box and a phillips 3140 dvd player. When I try to play a dvd, I get a "no video signal". I have checked connections and am at a loss about what is wrong. Can anyone help? Do I need to have a HD digital box for the dvd player to work? Thanks.
Recently got Hi Def TV and had Direct TV upgrade. Also have RCA (4 years old) Receiver, Emerson (5-6 years old) DVD player. When trying to play DVD, getting sound but no picture. Connx now: DVD-RCA-Direct TV box-TV. HDMI is hookup from Direct box to TV. Tried DVD-TV no success. Any ideas?
